Major Increase in Block Train Processing Speed at FESCO's Vladivostok Terminal
FESCO Transport Group has increased the processing speed for block trains at its Universal terminal at the Commercial Port of Vladivostok in Russia's Far East. With the commissioning of a new yard, the processing time for a block train has decreased by 36% to 3 hours and 40 minutes compared to the previous duration. This improvement was achieved through the deployment of a new yard built in place of an old, unused storage area.
\nThe yard has been fully equipped for handling container-laden cargo and features a new concrete surface. Thanks to this modernization, the railway length at the Universal terminal has been increased from 225 meters to 400 meters, allowing for the simultaneous positioning of 16 standard-compliant platforms.
