FESCO Transport Group has announced the completion of its first export container shipment from Russia to the Port of Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania, East Africa. Containers loaded with plastic goods and equipment spare parts were transported from Novorossiysk via Nhava Sheva in India under the FESCO Indian Line West (FIL-W) service. The route offers an average transit time of 45 days, establishing a direct link between Russia and East Africa.

The company expects import freight from Tanzania to consist of tea, coffee, and other commodities. Upon arrival in Novorossiysk, containers can be delivered to customers using FESCO's road and rail solutions. The new route aims to expand Russia's access to East African markets while increasing regional trade volumes.

Dar Es Salaam ranks among the world's fastest-growing container ports. FESCO officials emphasized that the port provides connections not only to Tanzania but also to East African countries. The company noted the region has high potential for cooperation with Russia and anticipates the new route will create further trade opportunities.
