AWS Launches Connect Decisions and Connect Talent: Two Agentic AI Products Built on Amazon's Supply Chain Data
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is rolling out a pair of agentic AI products designed to help companies manage supply chain disruptions and conduct interviews. GeekWire reports that the two products — Connect Decisions and Connect Talent — draw on Amazon's own internal supply chain data and hiring processes. Connect Decisions is designed to identify demand spikes or supplier issues, determine what requires human attention, and offer advice on how to move forward. Connect Talent uses AI agents to conduct voice interviews that job candidates can schedule at any time. Both offerings are part of AWS's Connect line of business tools first launched in 2017.
Speaking to GeekWire, AWS senior VP of applied AI solutions Colleen Aubrey said that early adopters of Connect Decisions have started to use the technology to run what-if scenarios in meetings, and that at least one procurement team has asked to expand its use beyond supply chain planning. The company is also already offering free trials of the application. On its website, AWS advertises Connect Talent as a way to help recruiters assess job candidates faster, and give applicants more scheduling flexibility; the application also tests product knowledge and communication skills.
From a supply chain perspective, Connect Decisions' value proposition rests on AI models calibrated against Amazon's tens of millions of SKUs, 200+ fulfillment centers and millions of supplier interactions — a depth of data a single S&OP or procurement team could not assemble in years. Connect Talent could deliver meaningful productivity gains in warehouse hiring and last-mile driver recruiting at scale. Yet for agentic AI to succeed in supply-chain what-if scenarios, strong governance is essential: model outputs must be explainable, supplier confidentiality and candidate data boundaries must be clearly drawn, and hallucination controls must be auditable. In Türkiye, lateral alignment with KVKK and the EU AI Act would be a prerequisite for any equivalent rollout.
Key Takeaways:
1. AWS launched two agentic AI products — Connect Decisions and Connect Talent — both derived from Amazon's own internal supply chain and hiring data.
2. Connect Decisions detects demand spikes and supplier issues and flags items requiring human attention; early adopters run what-if scenarios in meetings.
3. Connect Talent runs voice AI interviews that candidates can schedule on demand; it also tests product knowledge and communication skills.
4. AWS says procurement teams have asked to extend the tool beyond supply chain planning; free trials are available now.
5. In Türkiye, equivalent deployments would hinge on lateral KVKK and EU AI Act compliance, explainability, and hallucination controls.
