GXO has deployed 500 autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) across a 130,000 square-foot section of a distribution center in France serving a major global sports merchandise retailer. Managing a significant portion of the European retailer's logistics operations, GXO is bringing automation technologies online to meet customer demands.

The new system is designed to accelerate order processing, enable rapid response to seasonal volume fluctuations, and deliver efficiency savings. The AMRs, supplied by technology provider Geek+, navigate between high-density storage racks, moving 70,000 cartons to new locations across 18-foot-tall shelving and supporting order picking activities. The robots have improved productivity, accuracy, and safety.

Additionally, thanks to their lightweight design, these robots are easily transportable and offer flexibility to quickly adapt to seasonal changes.
