A significant step is being taken to expand domestic production capacity in Türkiye's pharmaceutical industry. The TIYSAT B2B Business Opportunities Event — organised by Artkim MICE and Artkim Fuarcılık on behalf of TIYSAT (the Technology, Pharma and Domestic Industry Community Cluster) — will bring sector stakeholders together at Istanbul Rumeli Han on May 14.
The event, with table participation reserved for TIYSAT members, will give machinery, raw-material, software and consumable suppliers the opportunity to meet pharmaceutical decision-makers one-on-one. The objective is strengthening the domestic supply chain and developing sustainable cooperation.
Erdinç Yaşrin, Chairman of TIYSAT, said the cluster brings every component of Türkiye's pharma industry together with a focus on local production. Yaşrin noted the event will marry the legacy of a historic venue that hosted pharmacy activities during the Ottoman era with a modern innovation and strategic-cooperation agenda — aiming to boost domestic capacity and lift Türkiye's global competitiveness.
Ahmet Güler, Founder and CEO of Artkim Group, stressed that pharma's role goes beyond economic size to strategic importance, with sustainable success depending on a strong, integrated and local supply chain. Güler underlined the symbolic value of holding the event on May 14, Scientific Pharmacy Day.
