According to Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TIM) data, the ship and yacht sector posted a strong performance in Q1 2026. Türkiye's ship and yacht exports for the January-March period rose 78.6% year-on-year to $584.9 million, up from $327.6 million. Exports reached more than 100 countries.

Yalova increased its ship, yacht and related-services exports by 142% in Q1 to $288.8 million from $119.3 million, securing the top spot among Turkish provinces. Yalova accounted for 49.38% of total sector exports — almost half of Türkiye's ship export revenue is generated by a single province.

The second-largest exporter, İstanbul, lifted its sales by 34% to $212.6 million from $158.8 million a year earlier. İzmir ranked third with a 308% surge to $43.0 million; Bursa followed in fourth place with a 16% rise to $18.9 million.

The data confirm Türkiye's strengthening role in the global shipbuilding and yacht-production ecosystem. Production capacity concentrated around Altınova and surrounding shipyard zones in Yalova is responding to rising orders in both commercial and superyacht segments. Sector representatives say global fleet renewal cycles and regulatory pressure such as EEDI Phase 3 should keep demand at Turkish yards firm through 2026.
