This new draft was approved by the port captain through an order dated July 17, 2024. Thanks to these improvements, ULCT will now be able to accommodate Panamax class container vessels and bulk carriers with displacement capacity of up to 65,000 tons.
Panamax class vessels have dimensions of up to 320 meters in length, 32.3 meters in width, and 57.9 meters in height, with a capacity of approximately 5,000 TEU containers. ULCT's ability to handle these vessels will provide Global Ports' customers with the opportunity to use larger ships, reducing logistics and time costs.
