Following the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, American Logistics Aid Network (ALAN) is providing critical logistics support to aid survivors. Thanks to generous donations from communities, local organizations are currently well-stocked with supplies; however, they are facing logistics challenges in sorting and distributing these materials. ALAN is providing critical guidance to help them overcome these obstacles and will host a logistics briefing for nonprofits on Monday at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time. ​

ALAN's Executive Director Kathy Fulton stated, "Many of these organizations have little to no experience running temporary storage and transportation operations like this, especially under such challenging conditions; therefore, ALAN is particularly focused on providing these organizations with the guidance they need at this critical time." ​

ALAN is also collecting critical updates about road closures, power outages, and other infrastructure disruptions to help relief groups make informed decisions. To support long-term recovery efforts, they are encouraging businesses to donate warehouse space, trucks, or equipment. Financial contributions are also welcome, as these funds support ALAN's ability to coordinate donated logistics services.
