DepOrtak is offering an innovative solution to e-commerce's rapidly growing warehousing needs. Aimed at addressing the surge in storage demand following the pandemic alongside the growth of e-commerce, this venture is led by founder partner Oruç Kaya and seeks to convert idle spaces into warehousing assets. This model, known as "grey warehouse," employs a business approach similar to Airbnb, aiming to maximize existing warehouse capacities and offer larger, more affordable storage spaces. Following a 1.5-year development process, DepOrtak launched its services on March 1, 2023.

The venture aims to fundamentally transform logistics management through digitalization and artificial intelligence-enabled technologies, creating a more sustainable and efficient system. According to Tırport Board Chairman Dr. Akın Arslan, they are providing a fast, economical, and secure solution in the sector by resolving logistics and warehousing problems. DepOrtak provides warehousing facilities under favorable conditions globally for manufacturers, chain retailers, and e-commerce sellers.

While the global e-commerce market exceeded 6 trillion dollars in 2023, Türkiye's e-commerce sector recorded significant growth as well. The sector reached approximately 1.5 trillion Turkish lira in revenue and digital payment volumes exceeded 80 billion dollars. As e-commerce's share of total commerce surpassed 22 percent, sector representatives expect further growth in the coming period.
