Konecranes has secured an order from Westcon Helgeland AS for two double girder overhead cranes to be installed at the company's new production facility in Nesna, Norway. The order was booked in Q1 2026, with deliveries scheduled for October 2026.
The two Konecranes CXTD double girder cranes will support the handling of heavy components for oil industry equipment manufacturing at the new facility. Each crane is equipped with a main hoist capacity of 2x80 tonnes and an auxiliary hoist of 10 tonnes, operating on a span of 37.5 metres with a hook height of 17.4 metres.
Arnt Skogsøy, CEO of Westcon Helgeland, cited the company's prior working relationship with Konecranes and the supplier's understanding of its operational requirements as key factors in the selection. Skogsøy noted that the new facility demanded a solution capable of handling heavy and complex components efficiently.
