Intrepid Investment Bankers, the middle-market investment bank and advisory arm of global financial group MUFG, has significantly expanded its Media & Entertainment practice with the hiring of Steve Kirkpatrick and Henry Davis. Kirkpatrick joins as Director based in San Francisco and will provide senior coverage across digital audio and music, sports and sports tech, and out-of-home entertainment verticals. Davis joins as Vice President based in Los Angeles, with both hires expanding the firm's advisory coverage across high-growth segments of the media, sports, and entertainment ecosystem.

Media & Entertainment Head Daniel Gossels emphasized the firm's focus on building a differentiated practice across verticals where strategic and financial buyers show strongest interest. Kirkpatrick brings over 12 years of investment banking experience and senior coverage capabilities in audio, sports, and out-of-home entertainment, while Davis adds valuable execution depth and relevant experience across the broader media and entertainment ecosystem.

Kirkpatrick began his investment banking career at Cowen in 2014, where he helped build out the M&A practice as part of the firm's TMT team. Most recently, he led Digital Media and Entertainment investment banking coverage at TD Securities following its acquisition of Cowen. Kirkpatrick expressed excitement about joining Intrepid during a period of tremendous innovation, transformation, and growth in the industry.

Davis brings 12 years of experience in investment banking and corporate development, with a track record of executing transactions across the media, sports, and entertainment ecosystem. Prior to joining Intrepid, he was a member of the Corporate Development and Mergers & Acquisitions team at United Talent Agency, supporting initiatives across film and television, publishing, sports, music, and the creator economy. He previously worked in investment banking at Lincoln International and began his career at Morgan Stanley.

Intrepid CEO Ed Bagdasarian stated that Media & Entertainment remains an important area of continued investment for the firm, with the additions of Steve and Henry reflecting the momentum being built under Daniel's leadership. The firm remains committed to growing the practice with the talent, relationships, and advisory capabilities needed to serve clients across this dynamic sector.
