Mercedes-Benz Turk took another critical step toward electric transformation in heavy commercial vehicles. The company delivered its first eActros 600, the battery-electric tractor unit developed for long-haul transport, to Medcem Cement in Türkiye. The delivery ceremony was held at Medcem Cement's production facility in Silifke, Mersin.

The delivered Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 will operate the line between Medcem Cement's factory and Medcem Port, supporting export operations. Used in operations of one of Europe's largest cement plants, the truck concretely demonstrates the industrial-scale viability of electric haulage. The Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 is the first long-range electric tractor sold in Türkiye.

Mercedes-Benz Turk Truck Marketing and Sales Director Alper Kurt: "With Mercedes-Benz eActros 600, we are opening a new chapter for electric transformation in long-haul transport. We are very pleased to deliver Türkiye's first eActros 600 to Medcem Cement, a large-scale industrial player known for export operations."

Medcem Cement Group CEO Mehmet Ali Ceylan: "We attach great importance to environmentally friendly solutions in our logistics operations. By actively running the eActros 600 between our production facility and the port, we will observe the operational performance of electric haulage in the field. This delivery is an important start for our plans to expand the fleet with electric vehicles." The industry-port corridor is an ideal pilot environment to scale heavy-vehicle electrification.
