Turkey's Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) Data

Turkey's Statistical Institute (TÜİK) released 2022 data on Purchasing Power Parity (PPP), which showed Turkey's per capita gross domestic product (GDP) index value at 67. This figure was 33 percent below the European Union average. The comparisons encompass 27 EU member states, 3 European Free Trade Association countries, and several other candidate and potential candidate countries. The actual individual consumption level per capita for Turkey was set at 77, which is 23 percent below the EU average. The price level index indicates that Turkey is "cheaper" compared to the average of the country group being analyzed, with an index value of 36.
