BMW launches investigation over arsenic-contaminated water

Following a report in a German newspaper about arsenic-contaminated water at the Bou Azzer mine, owned by Moroccan company Managem, which is also a supplier to BMW, the automaker has launched an independent audit of the mine.
\nAlthough no issues have been reported so far, the audit is continuing in the context of environmental standards, according to reports.
\nBMW sources cobalt from this mine for batteries produced in its electric vehicles.
