Evyapport Digitizes Berth Coordination with Portchain Connect
Evyapport is adopting Portchain Connect to enhance berth coordination with customers in terms of quality and speed through digital handshakes and secure data sharing. The company is the first Turkish container terminal to join the Portchain Connect Network.
Portchain Connect is expected to enable Evyapport to receive real-time schedule and move count updates directly from carrier systems, respond quickly, and make counter-proposals, thereby aligning the vessel schedule with the terminal berth plan.
Evyapport Container Terminal Manager Kayhan Alipaşaoğlu said, "Evyapport is the first Turkish container terminal to join the Portchain Connect Network," and added, "We hope our new collaboration with Portchain will be inspiring for all Turkish ports."
Portchain's Chief Commercial Officer and Co-founder Thor Thorup stated, "We are excited to work with Evyapport and aim to help them improve efficiency in berth coordination processes by facilitating data exchange."
Late last year, Portchain announced that CSP Abu Dhabi Terminal (CSPADT) would join the Portchain Connect network to simplify the berth coordination process with shipping lines. Earlier this year, it was announced that Damietta Container & Cargo Handling Company (DCHC) joined the network.
