Accenture Expands Sourcing and Procurement Services with Acquisition of Insight Sourcing
Accenture announced it will acquire Insight Sourcing, an Atlanta-based strategic sourcing firm that provides strategic sourcing and procurement services.
\nThe move aims to expand sourcing and procurement services, particularly for private equity firms and clients in the consumer products, retail, technology, and industrial sectors. Insight Sourcing will add approximately 220 sourcing consultants and more than 40 technology procurement tools to Accenture's Supply Chain & Operations business unit. These tools will accelerate value realization for clients.

This acquisition is part of Accenture's strategy to expand capabilities for private equity clients. Insight Sourcing serves more than 60 companies in the industry, including 10 of the top 25 private equity funds in North America. Accenture recently added other sourcing and procurement service providers to its portfolio, such as Impendi and The Shelby Group, which support private equity firms.
