Türkiye's Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) Digital Technologies Business Council has been admitted as a full member of DIGITALEUROPE, the European Union's largest digital-technology umbrella association. The membership gives Turkish tech firms direct seats at the table on EU digital single-market regulations, the AI Act and the Data Act.

DIGITALEUROPE brings together global tech majors such as Microsoft, SAP, Google, Siemens and Bosch alongside 38 national tech umbrella bodies, and is treated by the European Commission as a primary stakeholder in digital policy formation. The accession of DEIK Digital Technologies Business Council from Türkiye should ease market access and standards alignment within the EU digital ecosystem.

The membership carries particular strategic weight for Turkish companies in cloud infrastructure, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and digital commerce. Early-stage engagement now becomes possible on AI Act high-risk system obligations, Data Act B2B data-sharing provisions and the Digital Services Act (DSA) implementation.

Supply chain takeaway: For Turkish tech vendors, integration into the EU digital supply chain matters for direct customer wins and for early compliance with European corporate buyer requirements — NIS2 cybersecurity, GDPR data protection and AI Act risk management. DEIK's voice at the EU table should hand Turkish SaaS, fintech, logistics-tech and digital-health firms a durable competitive edge over the medium term.
