FedEx Dataworks has been integrated within ServiceNow procurement workflows, marking the next step in the two companies' ongoing partnership, according to a May 5 news release. The new integration utilizes FedEx network data, such as shipment delays, to automatically trigger workflows that help resolve procurement disruptions for ServiceNow Source-to-Pay Operations users.

The collaboration enables three key capabilities, the release said. One is supplier insights, enabling procurement teams to request FedEx Dataworks intelligence based on the logistics giant's network data. The second is supplier visibility, which offers automated supplier assessment during onboarding based on FedEx intelligence. The third provides post-onboarding insights. These capabilities reduce uncertainty in supplier lifecycle management, give procurement teams early visibility to act before issues occur and enable data-driven supplier management.

"Instead of toggling between systems, procurement teams get near real-time logistics intelligence surfaced at the moment of decision, inside the platform where they already work," the release stated. FedEx Dataworks and ServiceNow revealed plans for the procurement integration last October as part of their strategic collaboration. The companies also said they would embark on a multi-year initiative featuring joint innovation hubs, platform integrations and shared engineering resources to accelerate innovation.

FedEx Dataworks is the logistics giant's insights and intelligence platform, leveraging data from the FedEx network for various supply chain services. FedEx also uses network data to benefit its own operations, from forecasting and routing to capacity management. "The opportunity is not only the data volume, it's converting that information advantage into predictive signals and coordination capabilities that create value for customers," Vishal Talwar, FedEx EVP and chief digital and information officer, said during the company's 2026 Investor Day in February.

The integration enables procurement professionals to respond faster to logistics disruptions and proactively manage supply chain interruptions. FedEx's global network data, combined with ServiceNow's AI-powered platform, sets a new standard in supplier performance evaluation.
