Construction has begun on a major logistics warehouse on a 50,000 m² site in Kartepe, Kocaeli. International food and beverage giant PepsiCo is expected to be involved in the project, reinforcing Kartepe's rise as a logistics hub.

The project, executed by PAK Holding's ECE Commercial Real Estate Investment and Management Services Inc., broke ground on the new warehouse, which is expected to serve PepsiCo's regional operations. The construction permit was obtained from the Kartepe Municipality on March 16, 2026; the project sits on parcel Block 344, Lot 39 over 50,000 m².

Designed to modern logistics specifications, the facility is planned as a regional distribution centre with high-capacity storage areas and truck loading-unloading ramps. Gültaş Endüstriyel İnşaat is the main contractor; the architectural design was prepared by Erkan Karacan. Specialist teams are also engaged on structural, mechanical and electrical work, with around 90 personnel currently on site.

The "PepsiCo" branding visible on project renders strengthens the likelihood that the investment is being executed directly for the company or under a long-term lease model. With its industrial and transport infrastructure, Kocaeli has become a logistics-investment hub in recent years; Kartepe stands out due to its proximity to the TEM motorway and the D-100 highway. The new warehouse is expected to complete within one year.
