Dinamik Raus Tekstil and Yıltem Konfeksiyon Sign Egypt Qantara West Deal for 21,000 m² Joint Factory
Turkish textile players Dinamik Raus Tekstil and Yıltem Konfeksiyon signed an agreement to invest in Egypt. The deal — worth roughly 360 million Turkish lira — was inked at the Qantara West Industrial Zone, Egypt's investment hub.
The investment, set up under the Suez Canal Economic Zone Authority (SCZONE), will be developed on a 21,000 m² site. The joint Turkish facility will focus on apparel and various textile products, housing production, dyeing and fabric-processing technologies. It will create roughly 700 direct jobs, with 90% of output destined for export.
SCZONE Chairman Waleid Gamal El-Dien said the agreement reflects ongoing investment activity in Qantara West, noting the zone has become a regional hub for textile and apparel production. With this project, total Turkish projects in Qantara West rise to 15, with total Turkish investment in the zone reaching about $560.2 million. An additional $2.1 million project is under the Egypt-Türkiye partnership.
Founded in 2002, Yıltem has a monthly production capacity of 400,000 units and serves multiple European markets. Established in 2017, Dinamik Raus Tekstil specialises in fabric dyeing using industrial processing methods including reactive, vintage, tie-dye, natural and organic dyeing. Turkish textile players are realising in Egypt the cooperation model they have struggled to establish at home; per TGSD data, Turkish apparel's share of global trade fell below 3% for the first time in 35 years (2.96%).
