The Port of Portland has appointed Krishna Walker as Chief Shared Prosperity and Legal Officer (CSPLO), with her tenure set to begin on 4 May 2026. Walker joins from CareVet, where she served as Chief Legal and Corporate Affairs Officer. In that role, she led the legal execution of more than 200 business acquisitions, supporting a tenfold expansion of the company over six years.

Her prior experience includes senior leadership at Rabobank North America and over a decade advising growing companies and large non-profit organisations as outside general counsel. Her background in public governance dates back to 1995, when she was appointed by Evan Bayh to the Ball State University Board of Trustees.

Curtis Robinhold, Executive Director of the Port of Portland, said: "Krishna's experience and success leading complex and broad portfolios of work stood out as we looked for the right leader." The Port of Portland was recently in the news with an SM Line and Westwood Shipping agreement that restored vessel calls at the T6 container terminal. Walker's CSPLO role encompasses, alongside legal affairs, the integration of community equity and shared prosperity programmes into port authority decision processes.
