Accenture and SAP Partner to Develop "Supply Chain Nerve Center" Platform

Accenture and SAP are collaborating to develop a platform called the "Supply Chain Nerve Center," designed to help organizations reshape their supply chains while reducing risk, enhancing visibility, and supporting sustainability objectives.

Aimed at the consumer products, high-technology, industrial manufacturing, and automotive sectors, this "Supply Chain Nerve Center" will deliver n-tier transparency by leveraging cloud, data, artificial intelligence (AI), and analytics. This will enable organizations to identify risks beyond first and second-tier suppliers, providing deeper visibility across their supplier and subcontractor network.

Additionally, the platform will transform data into action by assessing whether suppliers align with the organization's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) objectives, thereby improving decision-making processes.

The "Supply Chain Nerve Center" also incorporates a supply chain resilience stress test developed by Accenture and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). This test helps identify potential failure points, assess associated financial risks, and determine appropriate risk mitigation strategies and measures.

Additionally, digital twin simulation software developed by Cosmo Tech enables organizations to identify vulnerabilities in their supply chains, simulate how they perform under heavy load, and develop robust risk mitigation plans throughout the planning process.

The partners also plan to develop new capabilities to further enhance the features of the SAP Integrated Business Planning for Supply Chain (SAP IBP) solution, which will help organizations quickly and cost-effectively respond to changes in supply, demand, and inventory.
